The Quinebaug Valley Council for the Arts and Humanities Capital Campaign is an effort to raise funds necessary for the repair, restoration, and renovation of the historic Ammidon Castle, the home of The Arts Center. In addition, funds raised will be used to enable the Council to continue offering programs at no cost (or reasonable costs). Funds will also be used, as necessary, to supplement dues, rents, fees and donations, for the operating budget of the facility.

Repairs and restorations to date have totaled over $150,000 with further necessary repairs, renovations and restoration totaling another $100,000.

Please feel free to tour the house and grounds, noting what has been done and what needs to be done. We welcome general donations or donations to specific projects or programs.

Our Community

The Arts Center, although physically located in Southbridge, is organized to serve the following communities. In Massachusetts: Brimfield, Brookfield, Charlton, Dudley, East Brookfield, East Douglas, Holland, Leicester, Monson, North Brookfield, Oxford, Palmer, Southbridge, Spencer, Sturbridge, Wales, Warren, Webster, and West Brookfield. In Connecticut: North Grosvernordale, Pomfret, Putnam, Quinebaug, Thompson, and Woodstock.


Restorations/Capital Expense Projects Completed
	Exterior Main House: Power wash, scrape, grind and sand, repoint 1/2 of brickwork; repaint w/primer and finish coat; chimney: repoint, scrape and sand; replace lead flashing; seal all masonry; replace rotted wood; all woodwork to be ail base prime and finish paint.	$41,500.00
	Repoint entire building; remove and replace bulging walls	$35,000.00
	Replace rotted soffits and remove rotted wooden gutters; Install new flashing; soffits, fascia and new architectural copper gutters and down spouts.	$26,600.00
	Install 4 new roof sections to include new flashing on main upper section of house.	$4,600.00
